Make This Evergreen Christmas Centerpiece #HomeForChristmas
What sort of centerpiece would you like to do? Could you give more details?
Wrinkle in soft waves, a length shiny lame, and place it on the table. Set a tall santa or angel or reindeer, or nutcracker, etc (12 or 18" tall , or in the case of the reindeer long ) in the middle of the fabric, place Christmas balls in between the lame waves and sprinkle glass pebbles. Use colors that blend, for ibstance if the Angel had pastel colors, pick a pink lame, with pastel pink and green Christmas balls and clear glass pebbles. You can even add a few (1 or 3) Christmas flowers like pink poinsettia.
Start with a sled, get a Santa Claus to stand at the back of the sled. He should be as tall as the sled is long. Fill the sled with some silver or gold garland. Make miniature gifts and fill the basket with them. Make 4-6 gifts, curling ribbon on top of gifts real small. Use different paper for each package. Next make a sack out of the bottom of a sock, cut off just before the heel. Men's white sock fill it with tissue paper and tie with a red curling ribbon, and hang it off the back of the sled. Sit it on a red placemat, and put small ornaments around the sled on the placemat in front and sides. Good Luck! HoHoHo

That's a really broad question. It depends upon the materials you want to use. I've made center pieces from mainly greens, to using only colored Christmas hanging balls. If you go to Pinterest, you can find many pictures to give you ideas.
I have limited space on my dining table, so I use a mirror as a base. Then I fill a crystal bowl with metallic Christmas ornament balls. I use LED candles around the bowl, then weave metallic ribbon around the candles. It's a stunning effect for very little effort. I have also substituted pine boughs around the bowl, then wove battery operated mini lights among them. The variety of combinations is endless, just use what you have.
