Christmas window decorations

by Diana
I live where it is very windy and so I cannot do Christmas decorations outside. I have 2 large windows that face the front of the house and would like to decorate them as well as a half moon shape window over the front door. There are blinds on the large windows too. Any ideas?

Use suction cup hangers to hang items in the windows.

If you have a curtain/drapery rod, use the hooks you use to hang ornaments with to hang decorations from. Put a small decorated tree on a small table and push up to the window--that way you can enjoy it as well as share it. Tiny nails or push pins can also be used. I've used all of them so if you need any help give another shout.
  • For outdoors you could make the wood pallet xmas trees or snowmen- - pinterest has the directions. We have lots of winter wind and rain storms but these stood up to it all- easy to do. , The window decorating we use the tension rods (shower rod for our big window) , use pretty ribbon and hund xmas tree ornaments at different lengths. One year the kids made snowflakes and we hung lots with silver ribbon and taped some onto the window too. Good luck and enjoy the fun of it all hohoho!
  • Command hangers work well too. When I was young, single and a tight budget, I strung the pretty glass balls from colorful ribbon at different lengths. I used thumb tacks to secure in the window frame at the top. I still do it to this day as it is quick, easy and colorful.
