There are loads of great DIY Candyland Christmas decorations here on Hometalk. Christmas "design" decorations can be made from the hard Jolly Rancher candies. Gather up some of your holiday cookie cutters, spray the insides lightly with a non-sticking cooking spray and then unwrap the candies and place inside the cutters that are on a baking sheet. Place in the oven at about 275-300 degrees and let the candies melt into the cookie cutter design. Remove when melted and use a skewer to make a hole so ribbon can be threaded through the candies if you want to use to hang on a tree or elsewhere; otherwise, they may great conversation pieces in a candy bowl.
My personal favorite is styrofoam candy canes. So easy to make https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHLeQh47dhg
Or you can make large ones to go by your front door with styrofoam and ribbon.
Hometalk is the perfect spot to find candy-like decoration ideas! Try out the search bar at the top left and no doubt you'll be incredibly inspired!
Maybe use Salt Dough to make your items!
I've seen, but haven't tried it, where you can melt starlight mints into a bowl. If interested, I can see if I can put my hands on it.

My mom, back when I was a kid, cut out cardboard into gingerbread man shapes, painted them brown and decorated with white paint to look like the icing so you can definitely get creative with easy, inexpensive materials. Look up "candy decorations" online and see what you can recreate.
Hi Sarah! You can watch this video for DIY candy decorations. Hope this helps!

Hi Sarah: You show cookies, and here is a site that shows various ways to make cinnamon ornaments which, by the way, you can give as gifts or make gift tags out of them. As for candy, I made these for my cat loving friends :) christmas candy mice - Search Images (bing.com) Choose the one you want, click on it and when it comes up, click on 'visit site' and you'll get more information and the recipe. Also, I will get some candy canes, google eyes, small (really small) pom poms and some brown pipe cleaners. I can't remember what they call them now, but they come in different colours. Leave the paper on the canes. Where the U part of the cane is, I wrap a pipe cleaner around, so it looks like antlers. Then, I will glue on 2 googly eyes and a pom pom nose at the bottom of the crook. There you have a reindeer! :) They look something like this, but not as goofy :) If youright click on the picture and then "edit image', it should come up bigger.
Hi Sarah: You can also make bowls from Starlight mints. They come in a few different colours: Peppermint Bowl | Hy-Vee Or use your cookie cutters to make designs: Bing Videos (just click on this link and it'll come up.)
