Yes, it is. I would just keep it simple and tasteful, but definitely do some decorating!
Personally, I would enjoy looking at a house that was simply decorated. I think restraint would be the key - a simple tree with a color themed decorations, a pretty wreath on the door. I would avoid religious decorations not because they wouldn't be lovely, but, because it might hurt a sale with someone with strong beliefs of any type. Highlight the property without overwhelming it. I would stick with simple and elegant.
Your family still lives there...keep the decor simple and don't go overboard...but a wreath on the door, or on windows... some decor outside.. a garland on the stairs... a tree.. mantel decor, etc... keep it generic... you want them to picture "their" stockings on the fireplace... not yours.
I think the lights and decorations would add charm and homeyness.
Yes it is. Keep it more holiday decoration than religious though. It will look warm and inviting. And don't overdo. (From a former Realtor)
Look at all your decorations and divide them in half. Put that half up.
Yes I believe it would be fined if it’s not too cluttered and distracting. You want your home to shine -not all the glitz and glitter and lights.
Thanks everyone , very very helpful 😊
