I'm Linda too! Here's another website from Better Homes & Gardens with a slide show of ideas. Have fun looking and choosing what looks good to you!

Hi Linda, Here are some thoughts. Find some things you really like-say rabbits. Put a uneven number of them on one side. Always use uneven numbers of things for a more designer look. Put something special in the middle-a mirror -a painting, not less than 2/3 the size of mantel, or a tall vase w flowers. Put way more on the mantel than you think is right and then remove some. For holdays you can put greenery or ribbon or fabric wrapped around some grouping like a winding path. If you like the look of candles, but don't want to light them-you can if you stay in the room-be sure to light them just to burn the wick a little so they don't look brand new. The MAIN thing is to LOVE what you have on there. A very cheap art work can be made by folding fabric over a rectangular foam board making the corners like you would do a bed and using heavy tape on the back. Then you can just angle it out like part of a A and put the bottom on the mantel. Good Luck!!!
Hi Linda,
These are quick, fun, and easy! Candles are always a great decor piece for mantles. :)
