How can I repurpose a mayo jar into a snowman?

Back in the late 1950s and the '60's, my Mom used to make Snowmen using Hellman's mayo jars, batting, felt and other supplies. A light bulb was used for his head. Does anyone have a pattern or know how to make these?

Not a mayo jar, but I made this cute guy with a light bulb head and candlestick body. Working on a blog post with a DIY.
