
What are some ways to hang stockings if you don't have a mantel?

If you have drapes you could place a conduit pipe across the top (tie it in place) and drape wide ribbon on each end and attach the stockings to that.Helpful Reply -

Whatever you use, make sure it will handle the weight of what you are putting in the stockings. If you use the command hooks, since you can reuse the hooks each year with new Velcro parts put on, go for a higher weight limit and you can use for other things too. We use them to hang the surround sound speakers for our TV and have no problem with them falling. They come in handy and don't mark up the walls.Helpful Reply -

I was thinking of a fireplace poster or stand up cardboard pic of fireplace with fire. If not that; 2 or 3 command hooks with a rod through them should work well. Tree trim hooks to hold stocking would not harm the stocking itself.Helpful Reply -
