I say Tissue box Holiday magic . My grand kids and I, make little covers for our December Tissue boxes .I give one of the covers boxes to each of the kids teachers as they start to decorate the class rooms.
use a new filled tissue box. We work with last years old re cycled Christmas cards. or card stock paper and little embellishments
#2 I take the backs off the cards we use .The cards are cut 4x5 inches I use tape and rubber cement to hold the cards in place. A card is cut to fit all 4 sides. and the top if need be. The one we did to show you we did not need a top piece because blue was our repeated color so the blue top to the box worked.
#3 These cards are rubber cemented into place.
#4 If you would like to use card stock paper that also works. The embellishment is some of my after Christmas half price marked downs. I look for gift tags that look like little pre cuts Holiday designs . They can be attached to thing. to decorate with.
the teachers tissue box I make a slip cover Using 4 4x5 inch cards I line them up with pictures facing down I tape them all in a row form the back side I know these pieces are not all the same size .I am just showing you what to do with this
#6 Lift it up, this is what you get. Then just use a little tape to tape it to the box It can be taken off and re used on a new box as needed. You may need to add a new piece of clear tape as you re use the cover . Some times you need to add a little tape from the bottom to the tissue box to one side ,so the cover won't slip off Have fun.

Using the Christmas cards was an excellent idea. The idea for a teacher's gift and getting the kids involved means a lot to both the giver and the receiver.

Thank You My Daughter is a teacher in Texas. the teacher tells me the kids use the tissues more ,when the tissue box is decorated the kids grab a tissues, not a shirt sleeve to wipe a little nose. That's why the teachers decorated tissue box had a slip off cover so it can be re used.
