How to make this looks updated, farm house style that's in now? I loved poppy flowers, but they looked so outdated looking, and doesn't looks good with my decors.Any ideas? add something, paint?

I recently used old picket fencing that I sanded and attached to wall with nail gun. Wood grain looks so nice. It is rustic/beachy and an I inexpensive way to update.
