I use everything from drier lint to old magazines. I dont know many places to acquire free crafts

  • Here are some great site!

People who have their own blogs that have a lot of traffic, and where they have mentioned specific products, the manufacturers notice then partner with them. I had considered a blog at one time but the insurance and legal costs were prohibitive. Just Google "free craft supplies" and go through the sites and see what you can find. I have been a dumpster diver and trash picker since the beginning of time, it is amazing what people throw away! Also Nextdoor.com is a great place too. Try freecycle.org.

    • Excellent! Make the rounds once in a while while running errands of all the places that sell paint in your area. Before you know it, you will have ample paint for your projects. I was at Home Depot yesterday morning (thinking it would be quiet since it was Easter and Passover), nope mine was hopping! And not just in the garden department either. They had some great stuff, but nothing I needed. So happy for you! 🤗🛠

Not free but if you have a nearby dollar store you can get whats needed to complete projects there to go with what you get for free.

  • Thrift stores aren't free but often you can find items that can be used, re-used. Like a flower arrangement that has a lovely container but awful flowers or vice versa. Yard sales are usually good as well. Sometimes craft stores will give people scraps of items no longer big enough to sell.

    • I too live a great thrift store find! I should have been more specific I guess, I'm really looking for paints and stuff to sorta spruce up what I've already got. Thanks for your great advice😀

  • Oh for paints, check out stores that tint paint. If they get a mis-tint, often they will sell those off at at least half the cost of original prices.

You can ask for stuff from Freecycle.org or Trashnothing.com. Everyhthing there is free, and it's free to join. There should be one in your area.

Hit up the flea markets especially at the end of the day, they do not want to pack their stuff and take it home, they are really receptive to low-ball offers. However, the selection may not be as great but there are bargains to be had. This technique works especially well in hot weather where they have been sitting there baking in the morning and midday sun. But be prepared to walk away if they won't "make a deal".
