For some time now, I have been seeing these cute decor Knots everywhere on book shelves and as centerpieces. Some are made of wood, limestone , ceramic, you name it - I've seen it!

I love them so much, so I decided to design one using polymer clay. Let me show you how to make one using 4 easy steps !

Step one:

Purchase your bakeable polymer clay. You can buy it from Walmart , Hobby Lobby , Michaels or any other craft stores you have nearest to you. I bought the 1lb bag for mine and I was able to make a decent sized knot.

Step two: Start Molding/ creating

I used the 1lb sculpey package and separated it into two equal parts .

Step three : I then made two large balls and rolled them into 2 long thick strips . Each strip was about 2 inches thick .

✨Roll back and forth using the palm of your hand

Step three: link the two pieces together and pop them in the oven on parchment paper! ( When you link the 2 pieces together make sure you use your warm fingers to rub out any cracks and imperfections .

✨Don't forget the parchment paper because you don't want your project to stick to your pan.

Bake them at 275 for 30 minutes per 1/4 inch thickness

Step four: let it cool and stage!

Nothing beats hand-made ✨

I am inspired. Could I use air dry clay or is Sculpey more suitable?
