Best accent colors for cordovan brown leather living room furniture?

I have a leather sofa and two recliners that are cordovan brown and contemporary in style. Have dark wood end tables and khaki colored trunk for a coffee table. The room has a sweeping view of Chesapeake Bay so there are a couple of nautical items in the room. The walls are cream in color. The tile floor is a sandy color. There are two (must stay) royal blue/black abstract paintings on the walls. I'm just not sure what accent colors to use for throw pillows, etc. to use. I've tried royal blue and terracotta but not sure. Husband likes colors that pop. I lean toward safer neutral colors, but I'm open to anything that looks better. I prefer soft, cuddly fabrics and filling when it comes to pillows. Neither of us like florals. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you.

I would go on Amazon and look for some pillow slip covers in a rich blue similar to the painting in the photo . It's lovely and it really does pop. If you like the texture of the pillows you already have , then your husband have his pop of color and its win/win.

How about a golden yellow, or a dark greyish blue?

Turquoise - Lime Green - Sand Gold - Cream - all would look great with the colours you already have.......

Try a blue more in the turquoise family but still use a bit of your darker blue. What about some mustard thrown in? Find prints you do like...all solids too boring. Strips or something. Don't forget texture. You are either blessed or cursed to have a husband who wants input on the decorating decisions!

What you need is more texture and lighter colors to help with the weight of the dark woods and chairs. A lighter patterned rug would help lift the darkness of the furniture in the room. Since your abstract paintings are staying, choose some color cues from that on the softer side. Although orange is a compliment of blue (your paintings), I wouldn't use that color unless you want an autumn look. If you choose a lighter shade of orange, I think you'll be pleased with that choice. I agree with the comments made by Suellen.

I would go with a print that has a bit of orange and a bit of the dark blue in the painting. That would help pull the warm tones of the rug together with the cooler tones of the painting. A print would add a bit of pop and interest to help draw yuor eye as well.

Add a turquoise floral area rug for the total center of the room and this where you start building your color pallet. I have photos below. The wall the sofa is on paint it a turquoise color and the painting and mirrors are way to small for over that sofa. Those mirrors are more for a bedroom. Add pillows in turquoise, green and gold color and burnt orange. Add accent pieces like candle stick holders and picture frames and if you find the right cute item but the wrong color spray paint it. That trunk is nice but needs a pop of color thats in the rug idea below And find a mirror tray as pictured in the last photo? Just an idea

I love the couch but you need color!! I would proba paint the trunk or cover with a bright runner. A focus wall with a bright color would definately brighten the room as well as bright accessories
