How can I disguise the place where skylights used to be?
I recently bought a manufacturer home. There used to be skylights. The last owner took them out and now all that is in the opening is plywood at the roofline. So when you look up all you see is plywood. How can I disguise these openings?

You can frame out the opening with 2X2's or 2x4s and put up drywall. Drywall mesh tape over the seams, drywall compound over that, sand to smooth, prime with Kilz primer and paint.
Hi Donna,
