Do you have ideas for DIY small ottomans

I have a very large ottoman in my living room and I am reupholstering my sofa and chairs. I want to get rid of the large ottoman and just make one or two smaller ones with the same upholstery materials.

You are an ambitious lady! I would probably start with constructing out of wood the number and size and shape I want and then just build up with the foam, quilt batting, etc. There was a post here recently where a woman made a chaise lounge and she had rounded pieces on that that gave it a lovely shape. Maybe you could do something like that.

A small ottoman can be turned into quite a useful step-up for a pet. I take a new pet bed (some of them are quite lovely and no open seams so can be used), use the inside as the outside and place over the ottoman. The cats use it to get to another spot where they want to be. I began doing this when the vet said he wanted my cats to get more exercise.
