Does anyone made a headboard from an old door?

I need some ideas to repurpose a door into a headboard for our King-sized bed.

You can actually just hang an old door on the wall behind your bed and it makes a great headboard. Paint it or decorate it to match your style and decor, and use heavy duty hangers to attach it directly to the wall. Make sure to measure the height of your bed so it will be placed in the correct position on the wall.

Is the door as wide as the bed? If so, the best way to hang it on the wall would be with a French cleat. Is that what you wanted to know or do you want to know different ways of decorating a door to be used as a headboard?
