How to Dry Roses & Make a Rose Wreath
Painted Dried Flowers
Dried flower shadow box
I take the wilted roses apart and lay out the petals to air dry. Then I take them and drop them in a VERY LARGE ANTIQUE jar. I have kept every rose petal from every bouquet I have ever gotten for the last 30+years! Every so often I unscrew the lid, place my hand in and give the dry petals a crushing. I must say I have got to have the best natural smelling potpourri ever! As you can see...time to crush again!
Although the blooms have faded, your memories of that special bouquet will linger on.
You can find web sites on how to make beads from them too. You've got some great suggestions here.
I gather flowers (roses and others), the them at the ends and wrap with a ribbon and hang from a little 20" "ladder" on my corner/side window. I just keep adding to it. They are dry and look so pretty!
Thank you, Christy. I'd love to see a photo of them if you have time. :-)
