I have found that on somethings, depending on how porous, it usually chips off with a sharp point to the base. wetting the stone might help also
I would try WD 40 or Goo Gone.
You want to soften it up with acetone or warm water and chip it off with a knife and then sandpaper for any remaining glue. Good luck!
