How can I decorate and attach a frame to hang a heavy round mirror?

You can decorate it by painting it, gluing fake flowers on it, glue sea shells on it. wrap it with sisal rope (like a frame), mount small pocketbook size photos on it, crackle finish, etc. Use your imagination.

But, I need to know what and how to attach to the back of it so I can hang it up. It's rather heavy.
