Trying to update a builder grade mirror with small stones. Can I hot glue them and will it hold up with the humidity?

I've done this- pretty much the same measurements. I used decorative molding. I cut the wood to size with a miter saw so the corners fit exactly, stained the wood, sealed it and then glued the wood to the mirror. I think the width of the molding was around 3 inches. It really does enhance a room.
Try gluing some marbles or decor around the mirror
You could stencil it too!
Buy some trim. Cut to size needed. Use brads or small nails and attach to the outside of the mirror.
I sort of did what Susan did except we bought the mirror from a closing store and thus hung it first. My husband cut the bottom frame and rested the mirror on that while he finished the other three pieces. I painted then decoupaged the wood, using images of birds.
