double windows are off-centered. I have to center bed to accommodate king sized bed, leaving about 2' on one side and about 4' on the other. I can't figure out how to put curtains up and just making it appear worst.

Hang the curtains to match the bed width

You can put the rod so that the center is in the top center of your bed. If you are adding drapes no one will really notice a difference of 2 inches on one side. If you use drapes with grommets you can adjust them individually to whatever width you like.

This is what I would do also. Visually people rarely can see a difference of up to three inches!

I would add drapes and extend the 2 inch side to about 6 inches and the 4 inch side to about 2 inches making it look even on both sides.

mine are off centered as well as about 3 inches different in height. I did a wall of curtains behind the bed from ceiling to floor. It really draws your eye up to the ceiling and the windows can't be seen.

I would use drapes to cover the windows, covering up the center of the wall and leaving the sides open but evenly spaced. 2 foot on each side, drapes covering the center part.

Fix Rods at windows to show equal amounts of window either side of bed. Covering part of one window with curtain or making it look equal by draping from full width of window to tie back on the wall.
