How do I mix chandelier and ceiling fan?

We purchased our house 2 years ago. All of the bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining room have ceiling fans. Which we love, especially when it's hot outside. I also like the idea of chandeliers. How do I achieve both in the same room? New ideas are truly appreciated.

  • I would not think that would be possible because chandeliers have dangling crystals which will rattle from the motion of the fan. I would think they would need to be seperate.

I used to watch Candace Olson all of the time back when I was HGTV hooked. ha. Anyway, she wouldn't always put a chandelier in the middle of the room. A lot of times the chandelier would be over a round table with 2 chairs on the side of the room or in a corner of the room. Or over a banquet seating. In a dining room I like a chandelier over a long table, but for other rooms, you might be able to have both depending on some creative decor. Just make sure you scale the size of the chandelier for the area that you have it. Great question!!!
