How high to hang pictures, eye lever or different

Im only putting one large piture behind bed it is 26 inches long and 22 inches deep. Thank you

You should put the picture in the same place you would look someone your height, in the eyes. The center of it being its eyes. Take into consideration how high the headboard is and then assume the "eyes" are a tall person. You can do this. @1 result is available, use up and down arrow keys to navigate.marge ritz

There is also a new trend in hanging pics same height as the door & window frames so all is the same level when you only have a single large pic.your choice, eye level or frame level, but don't hang so low that you hit it with your pillows. lol I'm short, my bed is high and I did that mistake.

I have a tall headboard so I hung the large painting 'centered' on the wall behind it. Meaning an equal distance between the ceiling and the top of the headboard. It looks great - however if you don't have a headboard, make sure you make your bed with all the pillows, etc. and cut a scrap of paper the same size as your picture to tape on wall until you find 'the sweet spot' that looks just right.

I'd go with Jean Adams suggestion. When the pictures are too high and you have to raise your neck to look, they are very unappealing.

Neglected to tell you that with that large a picture, you will need two nails or screws spaced about 2 inches apart. These will support and help balance it to level. @1 result is available, use up and down arrow keys to navigate.marge ritz

Over the bed pictures should be large unless it is a two or three piece set. Enjoy your own style !!!
