Depending on how much it weighs, you could try Command Hooks by 3M for a temporary fix. For a permanent display, you should get a masonry drill and attach it to the brick with screws.

    Is the quilt heavy?

I'd try the Command Hooks I recommended. Good Luck!

It depends upon the size and location of your Barn Quilt. If you are installing it on a house, fence or even a barn: hoist your barn quilt into position resting it on the 2" x 4" already mounted on the barn. Put enough 2" screws through the bottom of the plywood to hold it to the 2" x 4". Put 2 to 3 long screws (5-6") through the top of the quilt to secure it to the barn

? If I were doing a quilt hanging, I would put it on a dowel rod or wood strip then let that hang by a couple and eyes of hook and eyes from a couple concrete/masonry nails hammered into the mortar between the bricks.
