Use up lights. I use them under my large plants so that the shadows appear on the upper part of walls and ceiling.Helpful Reply -

A contrasting, yet beautiful length of crown molding mounted slightly down from the ceiling that has small lights next to the wall adds a very romantic atmosphere to a hallway/entry way. The lights are not seen from normal eye level, yet provide light to a darkened space, the light will also reflect off the ceiling.Helpful Reply -

Cove lighting is beautiful and you can do it now with LED strip lights and some wood/styrofoam moulding.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8CsXiJKNo4&t=54shttps://www.google.com/search?q=pictures+of+hall+with+cove+lighting&client=opera&hs=cfE&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj9i5rm_8zYAhUQ72MKHYSaARcQ7AkITA&biw=1657&bih=822You can also do wall sconces.... https://www.google.com/search?q=pictures+of+hall+with+sconce+lighting&client=opera&hs=1JZ&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiM9LzL_8zYAhUF_WMKHUB4AXIQ7AkIRA&biw=1657&bih=822Helpful Reply -
