I love my purses, but although they still look good the handles are frayed or peeling,
Is there any way to fix this problem? I don't want to toss them, thank you!

I don't know if any, but when I want a new purse I check facebook in second hand sales listed under our town. Maybe you can find a great one for $5 or $10 used that in like new condition? Especially after Christmas people get rid of used things. I always check on facebook shopping groups for my city first. Meet them in a public place if you do buy from strangers.

I would have to see your photos to be sure, but I have singed/eliminated some frayed loose threads on purse handles straos with an Aim N frame lighter. The threads are most likely polyester or nylon and very easily melt And seal.

Cracking and peeling would be easy to disguise but with use and movement I am doubtful for successful rehab. This leather paint was used by my son sucessfully on a peeling sofa. You may want to check user reviews as well as manufacturers suggestions to see if it meets your need.
