How to update my old ceiling fan? I’d like to paint it bronze?
Like to paint it rubbed bronze. I believe I can do that but blades are white, suggestions on what to do with them?

You can buy rubbed bronze spray paint. Rustoleum is one brand that's readily available at any big home improvement store. Walmart also carries it. You should be able to take down the fan and remove the blades--you can probably remove the blades before you take down the fan. You can paint the motor part separately--make sure you tape off all the critical electrical parts. Then you can paint your blades. Once dry--install the motor and then add the blades.
Hi Judy,
Just remove the blades, they are usually held on with screws, clean them and spray with Rustoleum. Let it dry and then put the blades back on. It should not be necessary to remove the motor if you only want to paint the blades.
If you want the motor portion bronze also, you could paint that with a foam brush, usually 1" wide will do fine, be sure to use painters tape on the ceiling where you do not want paint.
