Dark might not be exactly for everyone....Most flooring stores have sample boards that you can take home and see which color works...you may have to pay a deposit for them... or take one of your cabinet doors in to the store with you... try EVERYTHING.... the one that works and makes the oak pop may not be the choice you originally thought.

I'd suggest a light greenish blue - if compatible with any other colors you are using.

Dark brown. The beautiful new flooring is outstanding. I have good natural light so cabinets are that new black, like furniture, Ethel the brown black. Used long chrom /stainless steel modern handles. Expensive but worth the one expense.

A dark floor (espresso or walnut) would look awesome with the light oak...or if you don’t want something that dark, go with somrthing that has a reddish tone to it

Hi Kristen, i love grey for flooring because it's a neutral color!

Neutral tones offer a versatile backdrop that allows your golden oak baseboards to shine. Light gray or taupe floors provide a soft and contemporary canvas, letting the oak baseboards serve as a focal point.

Gray, and not a dark gray.
