Hello Joan! When painting glassware, there is an entire process: prep, paint, and cure. Here is a guide on how to properly do that:

if the paint was for glass yes but follow the directions on how long to wait before baking. then bake it according to directions
Place the glasses on a cookie sheet in a cold oven. Turn the oven on to 250 degrees. Let it bake for about an hour. Then turn the oven off and let it cool down. Do not remove the glasses until the oven is totally cooled down. This prevents the glasses from thermal shock and breaking.
