Rehide them with your grandson.
If you are able you could design walkway blocks with ready mix concrete and then place the stones on the top before it fully sets. Use a round or square plastic container, oil the inside for easy removal of the block and then pour in the ready mix concrete. Place the stone on top and push down a little so they are set in the concrete Your grandson will love your forever.
Glue them to the top of a keepsake box Then fill it with letters of advice and verses from the bible that you love that he will need when you are gone!!!
