Use mode podge and food coloring coat the inside of glass container then put it in the oven at 250 degrees for one hour...
You can also use glass paint from Hobby Lobby or Micheal's.
You can try using a clear sealer, tinted with a little purple paint or dye... (I would test on junk bottles to get the look and color you want) pour it into the bottle, coat the inside and let it drain out.. and dry out completely.
Transparent spray paint, mod podge with acrylic paint or food coloring or glass paint with a clear sealer first.
Use modpodge with a few drops of water and food colouring to make the purple closest to what you want. Use a sponge brush and brush outside of jug. Bake in oven at 170 degrees F. (very low temp) for about 20 minutes. They come out nice and clear.
Use dots of both red and blue alcohol inks sprinkled into the bottle, then spread with canned air. It will tint the glass purple that is transparent. I do this inside Christmas balls all the time.
Take some of the floor was that you use as you mop, mix in food coloring and pour in bottle. Twist and move around until inside of bottle is coated. Turn upside down to drain excess liquid. Let dry and it is ready to use.
