I would like ideas on how to decorate/utilize back of dresser.

Want to make a break from sitting area/pass thru area in a room. The 40's-50's era dresser is rectangle shape. used to have a screen behind it but doesn't work well with kids. Ideas on how to decorate/utilize the back of dresser that faces sitting area, please?

What about bead board? If you finish the back, it will be more attractive.

You could use a hybrid contact paper and decorate the back with something you like. Then if you ever want to change your mind - you can peel it off and do something different.

I'd try the 'bead and board' paneling to start. This way, you could make sure you like it without attaching it permanently at first.

If you know you won't 'ever go back,' you can look into mosaic tiles, make your own design to match the rest of your decor or use a pattern already in place.

I did this and put a bookcase back to back with the dresser. I loved all the storage and it made a great room divider

I was thinking shelve, or tin ceiling tiles would be cool too
