I create some cool stuff with old buttons. I am looking to purchase colorful buttons of all size. Plastic. The more color and size the better. Please refer me any leads to purchase. I will also consider purchasing new buttons. Does anyone have any leads on where I can buy new buttons as well? Tony www.carafdesigns.com

    Have you tried Ebay? You can find button lots on there. Or try local thrift stores. We have local online auction here where I live and button lots go through there as well. You may want to see if you have any local online auctions near you :)

    Do a Google search for State Button Societies. They can put you in contact with local button collector clubs in your area. There are usually a lot of "junk" buttons that members will sell. Many plastics are considered junk by collectors. One. man's trash is another man's treasure.

    Zuilly when they have craft items, I have gotten 50 for $3 and they are beautiful!

    One of the thrift shops near me, has bottles of them. Guess people just can't throw them away.

    Etsy is another source for both vintage and new buttons. My experience with vintage buttons is that so-called color mixes/assortments tend to look more "dreary" than "colorful", but that's not always the case.
