Regluing the lifted wallpaper is so much easier than removing and replacing it. Unless the paper is badly torn or ripped I'd simply work some adhesive under the edge of the paper then roll or squeegee the paper flat. You can even use a thinned mixture of elmers white glue applied to an artist brush. Apply a little more than is needed and squeegee out the excess. That way you're certain to get as much coverage for the glue as possible.

You may want to take off the wallpaper some day, so I would not 'glue' it with glue. I have had this happen before and made a paste of flour and water. This makes a kind of paste similar to wallpaper paste. Just paint a little under the paper with a small brush. I paint a layer on both the wall and the paper.

It is easy to re glue the wallpaper if you'd like to keep it!

  • Utilize a tube of Polycell Overlap & Repair Adhesive. Reposition the wallpaper, being careful to remove any excess glue by wiping it off. It is beneficial to damp the wallpaper with a sponge if it is thick or highly curled, since this increases its flexibility and facilitates handling.

Reglue with diluted flour/household/project glue with water. Spread it on and press the wallpaper into place. When the time comes to remove it, you'll be able to do that fairly easily.
