Hi, Hometalkers!
I've never tried either, but wondering which you prefer and why. I would be using them for cutting layers of fabric or ribbon. As an FYI, I have regular scissors in a few different sizes. Thanks so much!

It's harder to get a straight line with an electric cutter but with a little bit of practice you can get the hang of it. Personally I like the rotary cutter better, it just makes me feel like I have more control over what I am cutting.

Thanks to all of you for helping me with this decision. One more question! For the wheel blade, what is the difference between using a 45mm vs. 60mm (aside from size lol!) I'm a total newbie, the last craft I made was in HS art class 30 years ago!

    The depth of cut.

Go rotary blade and I use Fiskar

Rotary blade more control and heavy duty to tiny shears scissors by Fiskar are a little bit more expensive but I have had mine for more than 20 years, they are in great shape just sharpen the blades every now and then
