Yes -I have seen Elmers glue used as a Mod podge type sealer for a completed jigsaw puzzle prior to framing. Squeeze on with a old credit card/ gift card and allow to dryThe best advantage to Mod podge it comes in several finish sheens such as matte satin gloss and sparkle as well as fabric and outdoor versions. Mod podge is a trusted product that performs beautifully I would not hesitate to use it as directed. Elmers glue is certainly not as versatile.Helpful Reply -

It is so easy! Just mix one cup of Elmers with one cup of water. Stir, DO NOT SHAKE! Store in a closed container.Helpful Reply -

You can but it won't be water-resistant. When I do it, I thin it a little with water and follow up with a good coat of polyurethane or spar varnish.Helpful Reply -
