If it is just the cover, mount a picture to it and make sure you can open it before you mount it. If it is bigger than the cover, put hinges on it so you can open it to access the box.

Hang a picture over it or build some type of frame around it and Mod Podge a pretty napkin of your choice

Depending on the size, you can take the back off a cabinet and cover it with that. Would suggest maybe you go to a consignment, Good Will type store to find treasurers.

Try finding a piece of art that can be hung to hide the ugly box

You could build a really cute box or frame to cover it. Maybe a chalk board to do list, recipe board or magnetic spice rack. There are endless ideas right here on hometalk!

A friend of mine put a door over theirs and painted it with blackboard paint and use it to leave messages to each other or shopping list.

I used a nice small rug, it was a southwestern design with fringe on the bottom, sew a seam at one end you could even use a table runner and cut it to fit, run a small dowel through the seam, cut a small slit in each end of the dowel to put a piece of jute or ribbon and hang it over the fuse box. You could also paint a piece of peg board, hang it up, put some hooks on it and hang some utensils on it.

Hang a painting or poster over it. Easy fix.

Paint it, glue a picture with frame on the front, hang a curtain panel over it. If you’re handy, box it out with pieces of wood, or find a small used cabinet or drawer and make a small cabinet out of it and hang it, painted or decorated.

I have the same problem. I hung a LONG MIRROR on it. Its got a cute wood frame, but I made it as to where it’s easily accessible in case of an emergency.
