I tie the end of a net bag that had fruit in it. place all the left overs in the bag and tie the other end tight. you can now use all the scraps just like a new bar. I am also using up all the decorative soaps this way
I like the net idea, and you can also soak them and squish them together them let dry..
So can also be used to fill in small holes in walls. It is a great way to fix up a whole quickly, especially in an apartment so you don't lose your security deposit!
Wow, what an idea! Thanks, I never thought of that angle. I will try it.
You can decoupage on them and give them as a gift, along with a giftcard or on their own http://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft/holiday-gifts/decoupage-on-soap-2463405
Decoupage on Soap
Chip them small and put in an old nylon. I hang one in the laundry area. You can use it to scrub the soap scum ring off the utility tub or to wash your hands and also to pretreat oil spots on clothing.
I save my soap scraps in a jar under the sink until I have a jar full. I add a little water to soften and squish them all together. I then, add food color to my liking and maybe an delightful essential oil. Then I put the in a handy plastic mold until they set up hard and are ready for reuse. I love this project.
Sew them into a wash cloth and use it in the bath. Especially good if you have kids. You will never lost the soap nor will the little ones stick it in ears, nose or mouth!
Easy : Find a little person in need of a shower !!! When I was a kid we had a square wire holder on a long handle. You could open it up and throw your small pieces of soap in. Wish I could draw a picture of it. Like a soap dish on a stick !! Then you put it under water and go back & forth and Ta Da bubbles ! The mixture of different soaps gave off a great smell. Of course way back then we use to buy "cream rince" in 1/2 gal bottles. Not conditioner but cream rince !! Oh Well. Thanks.
I wish you could draw it also. Boy what we did "in the day" to stretch a dollar. Thanks for your idea.
Reuse a liquid soap dispenser by placing soàp chips into dispenser add water and shake .
