Recessed canned lights, hanging canned lights, non-traditional hanging candlelabras, industrial lighting (all metals except gold), farmhouse lighting (lanterns, oxbows, bare bulbs), lamps the same plus ceramics and glass. In other words, everything I don't have in my house, and by the time I get the trendy lighting, it will all be out of fashion. Best wishes!
I love the gold that is in now - though oil rubbed bronze is still good. I also really love the barrel shades for either hanging lights or table top.
Shop stores you like, pick up a few magazines and go on line. Almost anything goes. Trendy is not always the best choice, lighting should compliment the structure and task lighting is important for everyday activities and chores.
Tanya, to me it doesn't matter what is trendy, it depends on if we like it, or does it match our housing colors. Enjoy!!!
Retro industrial, mid-century modern, soft gold finishes, minimalist.....But remember....you should use whatever you like in your space!
