    i would do either a warm light grey, or warm cream colour

    I would choose a soft color out of your carpeting that you like. Get color sample charts . When choosing paints make sure you take the lighting into consideration as what will look nice in the store will not look the same in your home.Purchase color testers prior to finalizing your choice.
