Command hooks require a smooth surfaced wall.
3M Command hooks just do NOT work on textured walls. Your picture will stay for a while but will fall off in a few days. I wasted lot of money on these Command hooks and even damaged a wall decor that fell to the floor.
Hercules Hooks are what u need and they are backed by the late Billy May's. they work as command hooks do not work on textured wall . but Hercules hooks leave a small hole very small and hold a lot of weight
The 3M website for the Command products actually specifically states their products are not recommended for textured walls. Theres a do / dont use chart right at the top of the Command info page. I took a piece of textured plaster as big around as a tennis ball out of my wall using a Command strip!!:(
