Refinished stool

A week or so ago I asked my fellow DIYERS how to refinish a stool I picked up at a yard sale. Thank you all for your suggestions, all of which I considered. Here is my finished project. Hope you all like it. I am barely 5' tall so needed this in my kitchen.
