Indoor "stream" look flooring
I was discussing a flooring project with a friend and it peaked my interest but neither of us knows what products to use. We are wanting to make the entry hall into my condo look like a stream. The basic idea is to get some soundproofing (required by my strata) and paint it a sandy colour, place a few randomly shaped flagstones as stepping stones, spreading some pea gravel and then pouring in something like clear varathane to fill in the spaces. My problem is none of the building supply stores near me have heard of anyone doing anything like this and are not sure what product to use for this, most think that Varathane would not hold up to daily wear. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You'd need a two part epoxy resin. They are made for table tops, so I'm not sure how well they'd hold up for a floor, but I think this is what you are thinking of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsVLhk55pWM
