Drywall skylight repair disaster

Amy Ogden-Paparone on Apr 22, 2015Who did this job for you? It's the worst I've ever seen, and I'm sure you could have done it yourself! I would ask for my money back and hire someone else. I'm sorry he messed this up so bad on you. Ask a friend, or your Local Home Depot if they have an inexpensive but experienced drywall guy, It's a small area and shouldn't cost you much at all.Helpful Reply

Shelley on Apr 22, 2015If you have to redo it yourself you can use a tissue paper texture to cover it. I used it on the ceiling in a farm house renovation.Helpful Reply

Leigh Rowan on Apr 23, 2015Did he remove the frame of the window? Where you there during his work? I agree, get your money back... my concern is if he done that bad on what you do see, what did he do on your roof to make it leak proof.... I wouldn't let him near my place again and tell who ever gave you his name that he sucks! Report to the BBB, most cities require all construction company's to be registered and insured, is he?Helpful Reply

Kathy Melendez on Apr 25, 2015Unfortunately this is not the way to hide skylights. Our school district did the same thing years ago to a Frank Lloyd Wright style building. This has been a leaky mold issue ever since.Helpful Reply

Debby on May 05, 2015This is fine with me. He fixed it as best he could. I think his problem was using way too much MUD, he really just needed a good coat of paint and some texturizing.Helpful Reply
