Home Depot and Lowe's have a product called Rejuvenate which contains about 6 markers (similar to a Sharpie) in various colors. My husband used one of the darkest markers on our engineered hardwood flooring to cover a few scratches. The markers are in various colors. You simply put color on the scratch and blend in with a cloth. Just follow instructions on back of package. Worked for us!! You might try a flooring store as I am sure they have basically the same type of product.
Old English Scratch Remover comes in light and dark wood colors. You can use a q-tip to touch it to the scratch then wipe off the excess. Liquid Gold makes a hardwood floor wax that will rejuvenate floors and make them look new. My hardwood floors are 50 years old. I used the Liquid Gold on them and they are as pretty as the day they were installed. Both products can be found at Walmart.
markers to cover if its a bad scratch. Then cover with Future floor polish.
It looks like your floor has a good bit of variation in them so using an Dark Old English furniture polish should work. I would apply it to the scratches with a q-tip and wipe it off immediately. Repeat as needed.
You can buy this at your local grocery store.
try crayons.......
I've taken crayons one or two close to the shade of wood. Rubbed the scratch or mark, it will fill in, the take your blow dryer, warm the crayon mark you filled in. Let it dry a few seconds, then with a cloth buff over the top of it . The crayon melted fills and and when you rub over it you clean up the excess that didn't need filled in. The wax in the crayon seals it too.
Rejuvenate it. Just follow direction and you floors will look great. I used it on somevery abused oak hardwood...oh my word, friends swore we hadthem professionally refinished. Ps if you get a drip or splash on anything...straight ammonia wipes it right up.
I polished mine with car polish, worked a treat
It's unfortunate that your furniture movers did not use sliders. These come in many different shapes and sizes, to protect both flooring and carpet.
Mine are not slick. My floors are oak and 50 years old. Not sure how it would work on the man-made type floors.
