How can I repair my laminate flooring that is flaking away?

    I don't know how to repair it, but you can buy a chair mat to go under your chair and protect your floor. It will also help hide the damage that is already there. They are sold in office supply stores, etc., or you can buy a very thin non-bunching floor mat.

    Do not get a mat with the prickles on the back. I used one (under my bun's litter pan, no weight on it) on my antique pine flooring and it left millions of tiny holes in the floor. I would opt for a piece of industrial carpet for under your chair. There are a couple of companies that make laminate restorer, but I doubt that they will bring your floor back to it's original state. But it will protect if from further damage.
