How is hardwood floor installed over concrete slab?
We have a FL home and want to remove old kitchen tile and carpet and replace with hardwood floors. What is placed between the hardwood floor and the concrete? Is a moisture barrier required? How is it installed?

Usually moisture barrier and some padding to help with imperfections that seem to always exist in concrete. -

They make a sort of "pad" to lay down underneath. We used it in our home in Central Florida and it has worked well for over 10 years.
