You would want to go under the deck and visually inspect for any rot or other damages, if you suspect rot you can take a screw driver and probe the wood. If it feels solid (not spongy or cracked) then more than likely is not rot. If you find rot remove that board and replace it. If it's pressure treated lumber is more likely that the structure is still in good shape. You can just replace deck boards. Be sure not to use any kiln dried lumber as it will rot out eventually.
Good wood... Cedar, pressure treated, outdoor wood or composites
If most of the boards are good, just replace the rotting or damaged ones, use a deck paint or stain that will make all the boards the same color
I am replacing just the floor deck boards on my 35 year old deck. Everything else looks good and solid. If you can get by with just replacing the floor boards and you can do it yourself it's not so expensive.
If you’re replacing sections, get yourself a SawzAll and good quality blades.
