This is from a deficiency of calcium in the soil, ground up egg shells added to the soil when planting will help eliminate this problem.
You have brown spot. Moisture, either from watering, rain or humidity runs down the sides of your tomato to accumulate at the bottom. It dries slowly and becomes a problem area. There are products specifically for Brown Spot. Inexpensive and effective.
This usually occures when there is water standing under the tomatoes or the ground is too wet and the heat of the day steams the bottom.
Read here - the problem is most usually caused by an uneven uptake of calcium due to uneven watering and vigorous growth. That's why BER (blossom end rot) is most often seen in the spring, and usually resolves without the need for additional calcium dressings.

Google Blossom end rot ..many reasons for it...but I know a really wet season can make that happen..
Too much water can cause this.
