Gretchen on Mar 16, 2015You would plant them at the same time, if that is convenient for you. It is the genetics of that variety that determine the height, not the planting time.Helpful Reply

Linda Curington Ballard on Mar 16, 2015Mix in some long acting fertilizer {like osmocote} with the soil before planting. Those zinnias will bloom for you for months.Helpful Reply

Suzette Trimmer on Mar 16, 2015Great idea go for it. You do not need anyone's approval for creativity in the garden of all places. In your garden lays the most easy going laid back non-critical objects you ever work with. Why? Plants do not complain, they don't criticize they just loved the dirt and water you provide. If after a week or so you do not like what is growing or how it's growing simply re-pot replant elsewhere. However; since you did ask and that's why we're all here I would recommend planting them at the same time. For a zinnia is a zinnia it's the genetics of the seed that determine, the true height. Opps saw looked up and saw Douglas mention Gretchen is right only then to look up and see we all three agree so there you go. Good luck and come back with any question for I personally never heard a bad question in my life.Helpful Reply
