How do I keep an orchid alive and blooming?

I love the Orchid but I just don't have success with them! Can you please give me some tips on how to keep them healthy and blooming. Also what access do they need to the sun? Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanks, Teresa Freeman t59freeman@gmail.com

As an avid orchid keeper it is good to remember that orchids bloom once a year. :)
I have a secret I tell no one, but I’ll tell you! When you get flowers sent to you save the little packets of flower food that comes with them. Dilute a small amount in a water bottle. You can use that water or if you want freeze in an ice cube tray. Place two ice cubes in your orchid pot once a week, let them melt down.
Place your plant in a sunny window. Happy Flowering!
